Today I quoted a number.
As often when we (read I) quote numbers there is a feeling of, am I telling a total lie?
So, i went to find out if I was correct. I even surprised myself, but it’s true, Aucklanders pay $1.30 per 1,000 water^^
You do the math based on what you pay. A bill of $100 per 3 months equals a usage of = ((100 / 1.3) * 1 000) / 90 = 854.700855 litres per day.
Apparently I use 205 litres of water per day, thanks to http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/sq3.html
What about you? Do you realise that some day water is likely to be the scarcest resource of all? Unless we start using dehumidifiers to capture it from the atmosphere. On a commercial scale.
Just thinking outloud.
